Jeff Evans is a professional actor,
songwriter, and producer. Among his professional acting credits are the Tom Hanks/HBO Mini-Series,
From the Earth to the Moon, episodes of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, and Sheena, Queen of the Jungle
as well as the the cult horror hit, Jeepers Creepers.
Coming up during 2004 he will appear with Michael Winslow (of Police Academy fame)
in the adventure comedy Lenny the Wonder Dog
as Chief Greenwald. This will be followed by Jeff's turn as the deliciously unpredictable Fowler in the independent film
Hitters Anonymous.
There is already buzz about this dark, comic love story due out in 2005. It's a good one!
Jeff's songwriting credits include Good Times Coming, Heartless Angel and
Something Better. His song Lucky Guy is being considered by jazz guitarist extraordinaire
Jeff Donato for his upcoming CD.
Jeff also owns his own entertainment and music publishing company (Dog Lake Music Corporation (BMI)),
which produced the music and sound effects for the Scott Wells production of
The Insanity of Mary Girard. Together with partners Mark Priest
and Jeff Breslauer, who make up JMJ Entertainment,
he produced and engineered the one-hour aural extravaganza,
Sounds Abound© On All Hallows Eve.
Born in earthquake-prone San Francisco, California, in June of 1955,
Jeff grew up in equally earthquake-prone San Jose and Los Gatos.
He lived in Idaho for a couple of years where he met his future wife,
Mary. They moved to Monterey, CA, and got married in Pebble Beach;
he grabbed a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of California at
Santa Cruz; they returned to San Jose (well, for him it was a return);
they experienced the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake (7.0)...
Having had enough fun with earthquakes Jeff and Mary next emigrated to
Orlando, Florida. This was done with the express intent of experiencing
thunder, lightning, hurricanes, insanely hot temperatures and righteous
humidity. Mission accomplished!
Besides the wonderful weather conditions Central Florida is well known for its theme parks.
Jeff spent eleven years performing at one of the area's popular attractions,
Arabian Nights. If
you attended the show between 1993 and the end of 2003 there's a good
chance you saw him performing as either the Genie or, more recently,
the Sultan. He retired from that venue at the end of 2003 and is now
pursuing his other interests full time.
Not only is Jeff an actor, songwriter, producer, etc., he is a husband and a daddy.
His wife, Mary, is a Nurse Practitioner who cannot for the life of her figure out
how she ended up married to one of these artist types. (He was a television engineer
when she met him!) Their two children, Tall and Taller, are teenagers.
(Heeeelllp!)
